Privacy Policy

Effective October 6, 2026

The short version

This policy explains what information Fun South Florida ("we", "us") collects on funsouthfl.com, how we use it and the choices you have. Questions are welcome at help@funsouthfl.com.

Information we collect from visitors

Site statistics we collect ourselves

When you visit, our own counter records the pages you view, the website that sent you here (for example, google.com), which links and buttons you click, how long the page stays open and whether you're on a phone or a larger screen. To tell visits apart, your browser stores a random ID. It isn't linked to your name, email or any account. This counter sets no cookies, and it turns itself off if your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, how they find us and which parts of the site they use. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and pages viewed. Google processes this information under Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. Google Analytics also turns off on this site if your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal.

Ad views and clicks

We count how many times each ad is shown and clicked so we can report totals to the advertiser. These counts are totals only. Advertisers never see who viewed or clicked their ad.

Saved favorites

If you save favorite places, the list stays in your own browser. It is never sent to us.

Information our hosting providers log

Like nearly every website, the companies that host and deliver this site keep standard technical logs, which include IP addresses and browser details, to keep the service running and secure.

Information from advertisers

If you request an ad, you email us directly, so we receive whatever you include in that email (usually your name, business details and contact information). We use it to reply and set up your ad.

If you have an advertiser account, we store:

We use your email address to send your login details, password reset links, renewal reminders before your ad ends and replies to your questions. Each advertiser can see only their own account and ads.

How we use information

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent personal information. We use a few service providers that handle data on our behalf:

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our visitors, advertisers or Fun South Florida.

Links to other websites

Listings and ads link to venues' and businesses' own websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we aren't responsible for them.

Children

Fun South Florida lists many family activities, but the site is meant to be used by adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.

How long we keep information

We keep site statistics as long as they're useful for understanding trends. We keep advertiser account information while the account is open and for a reasonable time afterward for our business records. Advertisers can ask us to close their account and delete their information at any time.

Security

We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, account lockouts after repeated failed sign-ins and database rules that keep each advertiser's information private. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.

Your choices

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
